How to measure for consistency

Record the hand used and use recommended body posture

Selected hand

Using left hand People have different dominant hands—some prefer to use their left hand, others their right, and some might use both hands for certain activities. This means that the way people play a game can vary depending on which hand they use. For instance, playing a game with the left hand might lead to different results than playing it with the right hand or using both hands together (e.g. rehabilitation).

To account for these differences, you need to select (icon in the app) which hand (or combination of hands) the player is/will using during data acquisition. Based on this data, we devide data (records and history) in different groups.

Game variant App Icon Example
Using left hand Using left hand Using left hand
Using holding hands Using left hand Holding both hands
Using right hand Using left hand Using right hand

*For holding both hands together we recomend holding with interlocked fingers (crossed as praying).

Correct Sitting Posture

Maintaining a correct sitting posture is crucial for obtaining comparable results. Sitting position can affect arm’s reach. Suggested rules are similar as they are for proper sitting posture:

  1. Sit Up Straight: Keep your back straight.

  2. Feet Flat on the Floor: Ensure both feet are flat on the ground. If your feet don’t reach the floor, use a footrest.

  3. Knees at a Right Angle: Your knees should be at a 90-degree angle, level with or slightly lower than your hips.

  4. Hips Back in the Chair: Sit back in your chair so that your buttocks touch the backrest. This helps maintain the natural curve of your spine.

  5. Use Lumbar Support if needed

  6. Forearms Parallel to the Ground: When using a desk, your forearms should be parallel to the ground and your elbows should form a 90-degree angle. Adjust the height of your chair or desk if necessary.

  7. Keep Shoulders Relaxed: Ensure your shoulders are relaxed, not hunched up towards your ears.

Other adaptations

If you have specific needs or conditions (e.g. wheelchair, after a stroke … ), you need to consult a specialist such as a physiotherapist, occupational therapist or specialized doctor.

Correct Standing Posture

With the use of accessories, such as a golf club, OKKO Reboot One can be played in a standing position. This allows for a greater range of motion and additional movement possibilities.
